What Could Possibly Be More Simple?

Changing your address with the DVLA is dead easy.

zzzzzzz... sorry what?! I missed that, how many steps? Only industry standard... does that mean that it;s going to be left on a train?

I've used this service....

Its utterly crap!

You jump through all those hoops, registering for this and that, answering questions, verifying and cross-checking etc etc etc.

And then you are informed that you need to return your old driving licence to complete the process.

Okaaaayyyyy! Dig out your licence (or paper counterpart), notice the box to inform DVLA about a change of address? See the flaw?

That's right boys and girls. You could have just filled out this simple form on the back of your licence and popped in the post (seeing as you're required to do that anyway).

If this were a business someone would be fired. But its Government, so promotions and bonuses all round.

@John P: You spotted the flaw. It really is weapons grade public waste, isn't it?

Your last para exactly mirrors my thoughts.
